If you get a pimple

I know, it's incredible, everybody thinks that after they turn 30 they'd never have to deal with this type of imperfection, but it seems that is not the case. The last thing a bride (or bridegroom) wants to face in the mirror on the morning of their wedding, is a prominent angry-looking spot!

If this happens to you, don't panic! It's understandable if your first reaction to a pimple is to pop it, but as you know that is the worst thing that you could do in this situation.  The second option is to minimize it,, which wth the help of makeup, is easy enough...

Follow these steps:

Moisturise your perfectly cleaned skin, avoiding products that dry out the skin.

You can then apply some type of treatment directly to the pimple.  For me, Bioderma Sébium AI Intensive Care (only available in pharmacies) works well because its active anti-inflammatory purifying ingredients are gentle on sensitive skin. It helps to eliminate a breakout, but without drying out the skin.

Then, put your makeup on like you normally do.

Before putting on fundation or powder use a concealer specially made for that area.  If you get pimples every now and again, it is better to invest in one that not only minimizes them, but dries them.  I like Elemental Beauty's healing mineral concealers, which contain Allantoin to heal damaged skin and promote skin regeneration, which makes them perfect for use on blemishes

Then apply foundation before going back to touchup the problem area again, thinly covering the pimple with more concealer, if required, and blending it into the foundation with your fingertips.

To finish, apply a few touches of totally matte and transparent powder with a brush.

Try to intensify your mouth or your eyes (whichever is further away from the pimple) in order to centrer the attention there and divert attention away from the pimple.
