Radiant in 5 Steps

Many of my customers and friends frequently ask me how to achieve a radiant look, but without making the makeup too noticeable, ideal for brides and everyday. Today I will tell you how to create a natural easy makeup in only five steps :-)

Cleanse and moisturize. The first step is to carefully clean the skin. Choose the products that best adapts to your needs. I love Madara’s organic eco skincare and cosmetics – their Deep Purifying Foam Cleanser is for all skin types. Moisturising of the face is super important. Even more so, now that the winter is around the corner.

Conceal and unify. This step is a key element to achieve a perfect skin. I like to use Madara’s tinting fluid, which tints, illuminates and lightly moisturises the skin to initially even out skin tone before hiding the dark circles, pimples and skin imperfections with a concealer. To unify I then use a light reflecting mineral powder foundation that has the same colour as your skin and use more or less to achieve an ideal coverage for you.

There are many types of foundations, from the sheerest ones to the more covering ones but applying a tinting fluid, which is lighter alternative to foundation, will disguise some imperfections and fine lines so you can see just how much foundation, if any, is required to achieve a fresh, radiant finish.

Illuminate. The previous step achieves colour and shimmer from natural plant minerals and mica. However, for the skin to have a velvety matte finish and for a longer lasting makeup you have to use translucent powders, loose or compact. I always use Lavera’s loose powder or Elemental Beauty’s pure mineral finishing powders in Matte and Dewy To give light, use an illuminator (Dewy is perfect for ths) over the powder on top of the T zone.

Cheekbones and lips. To give a touch of colour and achieve a healthier glow, use a pink or apricot blush in the centre of the cheeks. Then bring out the lips with a creamy and moisturising lipstick in a natural tone.

Astonishing look. To achieve a spectacular look, use a light and luminous shade on the eyelids and a lot of mascara.
