Makeup
- The art of make up is choosing the right colours and applying and blending in the right place so that they beautify and enhance
- Remember, make up is for bringing out your good features, not just for covering up the things you don’t like
My practical interest in make up developed around the stylish and dramatic 60’s look. Black sooty eyes and pale-pale lips, mini skirts and geometric haircuts all signified a life-changing rebelliousness against repression and judgemental attitudes. It was a radical and exciting time. I spent hours perfecting the art of applying Twiggy-type makeup to myself and my friends.
I have never lost my enthusiasm for expressing myself through make up, which can transform a woman from vulnerable to powerful, from sweet to sexy, from mother or wife to diva or vice-versa. You can be daring. Makeup isn’t serious; at the end of the day you can simply wash it away and start afresh.
The art of make up is choosing the right colours and applying and blending in the right place so that they beautify and enhance; remember, make up is for bringing out your good features, not just covering up the things you don’t like.
However, preparing the skin and making the most of it with a regular skin care regime and quality products that preserve, perfect and protect, so that makeup can be applied to a proper surface, is a fundamental requirement for a clean, elegant make up.
If you want flawless glowing skin, we recommend that you regularly treat yourself to Natural Balance deep cleansing facials and continue the good work at home with Pretty Flamingo’s customised skincare regime and uniquely revitalising 100% pure organic skin care.
Whether you want movie star glamour, classic simplicity, pretty pastel or natural bridal beauty looks, I am a professional makeup artist with years of experience in selecting the perfect make up to help you look your most stunning.
Or I will teach you how to apply your own makeup and to select the right products, colours, brushes and tools that allow you to practice and perfect the art of makeup on yourself.
